Julia de Burgos Cultural Arts Center is accepting proposals from fashion designers, costumers, and artists with experience in garment construction for a 2021 fashion collection that features twenty-one looks inspired by each of the Spanish speaking countries. Selected artists will need to submit an invoice and W9 to receive $1,500 for each commissioned look. Artists will be responsible for delivering or shipping completed looks to Julia de Burgos Cultural Arts Center, 2800 Archwood Ave., Cleveland OH 44109.

Timeline:
- Sunday, January 31, 2021 by 11:59pm Deadline to apply
- Tuesday, March 2, 2021 Artists notified and countries assigned
- Wednesday, March 31, 2021 Artist preliminary sketches due
- Saturday, May 15, 2021 Final day to receive final pieces
How to apply:
Artists must submit a completed application form with examples of relevant previous work and a sample budget. Successful applications will demonstrate the artist's ability to design and construct garments/outfits/pieces/looks that are inspired by the history, culture and art from different Spanish speaking countries and islands. Artists of all backgrounds are encouraged to apply, with the understanding that this is an opportunity primarily for latino/a/x artists and artists of color.
